Launch of Sindhi Novel

Novel “Fateh Marak” has been launched by the Arts council of Pakistan with collaboration of Karachi’s Lok Virsa committee. The novel has been written by the renowned Pakistani journalist Jaweed Soomro. “Fateh Marak” is a sindhi novel that has meaning of victorious smile.

Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, a well-respected politician and Sindh Assembly speaker was announced as the chief guest for the occasion. He stated that books always remain alive and are equivalent to 100 good friends.

He described the writer’s background saying that Soomro wrote the novel in early 80’s. the bottomline of the novel revolves around the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD).

Sassui Palijo, Sindh Culture minister was also present in the event. She said that Soomro had done great effort to write the novel. She also said that cultural department will also buy over 100 copies for province’s libraries.
