Today has been observed a dark day in the history of Pakistan co-related to the field of Arts. Pakistan’s leading artist, Lubna Agha has died in Boston. She was one of the trend setters in Pakistan who introduced the field of arts as professionalism.
Lubna Agha, born 1949, had done her graduation from a well-reputed college in Arts namely “Karachi School of Arts”. She exhibited her talent almost in every country including Pakistan, U.S, The Great Britain, Japan and china.
In the last days of her life, she was totally convinced in Islamic Architecture and in the same regard, she also availed the last opportunity of her life by displaying elegant craftsmanship at the Gardiner Art Gallery back in February 2012, Oklahoma.
“Her passing is a loss to the art community of Pakistan and America. She will be dearly missed, but her artistic contribution and her name as one of Pakistan’s foremost female artists will live on,” said her Biohrapher, Dr Marcella Sirhandi said.
