Nowruz Day is celebrates on Pakistan 21st March .Nowruz is the traditional ancient Iranian fiesta and also the initiate day of Iranian New Year.
This is the same festival which is celebrated in Afghanistan, Iran and Central Asia. In the northern areas of Pakistan, this day is celebrated both as a religious as well as a social carnival. In Balouchistan, it is celebrated with great zeal along with the major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Although Nowruz matches with the Spring Equinox on 21st of March, but still the celebrations lasts for certain weeks. The main and highlighted aspects of Nowruz in Baltistan are the giving of colorful eggs to colleges and the polo matches are also organized.
