First ever Muslim ambassador for cosmetics

A new trend has been set by the “Lancome”, a France-based beauty brand. The Lancome has hired a 22-years-old young Tunisian Muslim model as the ambassador for their cosmetics company.

Hanaa Ben Abdesslem this way is the first ever Muslim ambassador for any cosmetics company in the entire world. She told New York Magazine

“[People in Tunisia] have this misconception of what modeling is about. Modeling can be a career choice, too. I plan to change this misconception within my culture. In the past few years, the beauty industry really has improved upon makeup and skincare to the point in which all skin types are covered.”

The fashion expertise made the cosmetics industry realizes the value of new young girls from every culture. Modeling industry is now desperately finding young models and faces for their brands. Lancome has initiated the first step in industry with the Muslim girl that will surely bring up some positive change.
