One of the leading American rock guitarist, Ronnie Montrose who not only formed his own bands but also worked and performed with variety of musicians including Sammy Hagar, Herbie Hancock, Van Morrison, The Beau Brummels, Boz Scaggs, Beaver & Krause, Gary Wright, Tony Williams, The Neville Brothers, Dan Hartman, Edgar Winter and Johnny Winter has died this week.
Montorse’ booking agent confirmed the reports that the rock guitarist died at his home on Saturday at the age of 64. He further on told the media that Ronnie was feeling consistent decline in his health and was also battling against prostate cancer.
Doughlas said that Montrose was currently working on release of a DVD. Montrose was also gearing up for the tours across the United States for couple of shows. The mourners that are left behind by Montrose includes his wife Leigha, a son, a daughter and five grandchildren.
