Another struggling and effective example for the revival of Pakistani fashion industry has been shaped by the return of “Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW)”. A long pause of about 2 years has been observed in which Pakistan fashion industry had lost its possible golden era. This time Pakistan Fashion Week is scheduled to be held in April at Karachi, 2012.
Various talented fashion industry artists that include Bunto Kazmi, Sana Safinaz, Faiza Samee, Kamiar Rokni, Maheen Khan and Deepak Perwani, Fahad Hussayn, Feeha Jamshed, Sanam Chaudhri, Syed Rizwanullah, Fayez Agariah, Sania Maskatiya, Zaheer Abbas will present their collection in the event. The event is said to be a four-day expo. The news which has raised the eye-brows of artists is the absence of renowned artist Rizwan Beyg.
Shamaeel Ansari, Chairman for the Fashion Pakistan Council shared her views for the up-coming fashion week. Fashion week is not only limited to the renowned artists but a lot of new talent had already been recognized across the world through this event, said Shamaeel.
While commenting upon the absence of Rizwan Beyg, she said that invitation letter has already been sent to him but unfortunately he will not be able to come for FPW2. She clarified her institute’s policy saying that Pakistan Fashion Council always available for everyone irrespective of senior or young artist. Nobody is being restricted by our institute to not participate in any other fashion event.
