2nd Test between S. Africa and S. Lanka

DURBAN:  fast South African bowler Marchant de Lange made a heroic entry in the first day of 2nd test match and took two Sri Lankan Wickets on Monday at Kingsmead.

Till Lunch Sri Lanka were at 112 with Mahela Jaywardene on 27 runs. When Jayawardene scored his first run Jayawardene became the 9th batsman and has the honor of first Sri Lankan Player who reached 10,000 runs in test crickets.

De Lange caught the opening batsman behind mark Boucher at 12 on his 12th ball in test cricket. He followed two balls of his next over when Kumar Sangakkara was caught behind.

Imran Tahir Leg-spinner took the 3rd wicket when Tillekeratne Dilshan captain was caught at fine leg at 47 by Morne Morkel.

De Lange was back to attack after 6 overs and immediately cast his impression with the ability of pace and lifts. He drew Paranavitana into a drive against a full-length delivery after sending down several short balls, and then forced Sangakkara into a hurried jab against a fast ball just outside his off stump.

In first test Sri Lanka were beaten by 81 runs and an inning at Centurion also got a new cap Dinesh Chandimal wicket keeper batsman who replaced Kaushal Silva.

On an even-paced pitch Dilshan back up his decision to bat first with few aggressive hits at the start of the innings but he become more careful after losing his first two partners. He scored 47 on 69 balls and hit six fours.
