An Explosion Hits A Church in Nigeria

An explosion took place in a Catholic church near Nigeria’s capital Sunday as Christmas celebrations are going on across the world. Exact numbers of deaths are still unknown, but many casualties are expected.

Local police has just confirmed that the blast struck St Theresa Church in Madalla, a town in Niger state close to the capital, Abuja.

National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria told that it had not so many ambulances to carry the wounded to hospitals.

No group has taken the responsibility of this attack on a church yet.

Most populous nation of Africa is in the grasp of sectarian violence these days. Radical Muslim sect, known as Boko Haram is considered responsible for at least 465 killings in a year in Nigeria as a result of sectarian violence.
