Clarke possible to Miss Tri ODI

Sydney: Australia skipper Michael Clarke said on Friday he was doubtful to get back in time for Sunday’s tri ODI series against India in Brisbane.

Clarke, who injured his restrict throughout the last over defeat to India in Adelaide last week, missed Friday’s match in opposition to Sri Lanka in Sydney and said he was not likely to play in Sunday’s game at the Gabba.

I’ve took a small amount hamstring injure. It’s on the mend. It’s possibly doubtful I’ll be selected forBrisbane, though, Clarke said.

I’ve completed lots of work over the last couple of days and team physio Alex Kountouris would favor me to rest, but I’m not far away at all.

There was worse injury news for young all round performer Mitch Marsh, who has been ruled out for a long term with lower back pressure fractures.

Marsh protested of back ache throughout a training session at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday and scans established a pressure fracture.

The 20 year-old will suffer further scans on Saturday to decide the level of the injury but he is possible to miss the rest of the Australian period.
