The Supreme Court of Pakistan gave 10th January , 2013, deadline to Sindh police to arrest Shahrukh Jatoi, who is accused in the Shahzeb Khan Murder case. Shahzeb, the 20-year old boy, was gunned down in Karachi on 25th December .
In today’s hearing, the three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, expressed dissatisfaction over the police report on Shahzeb’s murder case.Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police Fayyaz Leghari appeared in the court for hearing.
Director Inspector General (DIG) Shahid Hayat, during the hearing, told the bench that they are sending a police team to Dubai to arrest Shahrukh Jatoi, who had traveled to UAE under a different name. In addition, the Sindh police has contacted Interpol to arrest the accused.
In addition, thepolice official informed the Supreme Courtthat the CCTV footage of Shahrukh has been acquired.
The Supreme Court suspended the hearing till 10th January 2013.
