Former chairman (OGRA) won’t be extradited to Pakistan

2-1-2013_20646_l_TThe Supreme  Court on Thursday observed that it made an appearance with the conditions that Tauqir Sadiq, former chairman Gas and oil Regulating Authority (Ogra) wouldn’t be extradited to Pakistan. The observation expressed on Thursday whenever a two-member bench from the apex court comprising Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain started again the hearing from the case. Only at that, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja observed it’s the FIA which provided passport to Sadiq who travelled from Pakistan, adding it seemed that under the prevailing conditions Taqueer’s return from UAE was impossible. Admonishing the government authorties concerned, Justice Khawaja stated that no progress have been proven in the matter despite 15 days. A legal court was informed that Tauqeer Sadiq was granted a visa of cashier with respect to a confectionery business outlet in UAE throughout September 2012 for 3 years which now have been cancelled.
