LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed what the law states enforcing agencies to consider every measure to make sure foolproof security Hazrat Imam Hussain’s Chehlum to become observed today (Thursday).
Presiding on the meeting regarding security plans for that Chehlum Wednesday, the main minister known as for creating four tiers security cordon round the Chehlum processions and majalis. The chief minister also cautioned strict action against people making provocative speeches, and wanted the government authorities to make sure strict adherence towards the timings of Chehlum processions. The country is passing through critical phase, because it is facing serious challenges of terrorism. There’s a greater necessity of oneness and solidarity in the society, the chief minister maintained.
The main minister directed the concerned government authorities to consider coordinators of processions into confidence concerning the security plans, monitor processions and majalis through Closed-circuit television cameras, install search lights around the routes of processions, and turn on the machines just in case of load shedding throughout the processions
Senior Consultant Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, Advocate General Punjab Ashtar Ausaf Ali, and also the ministers attended the meeting which enforced prohibit on pillion riding on motorcycles, in Lahore with effect from tonight at 12.00midnight.
