Lahore Capital Officer ( CCPO) Muhammad Aslam Tareen examined annual progress from the complaint cell setup at CCPO’s office and ordered unyielding punitive actions against all police officers proved to hadn’t aided people within their problems. The complaint cell in control briefed the CCPO that as many as 7,452 complaints have been lodged from the police authorities this year. He elaborated that from the total, 662 complaints were known towards the cell through the pm, 1,539 through the chief minister, 3,297 by Punjab IG, 239 by Punjab chief secretary, 82 through the home secretary and 152 complaints were lodged in the cell through the commissioner’s office. It had been learnt that cops were granted punitive measures on 179 programs. The cell in control told the cell had received as many as 13,426 complaints this year, of that 4,806 cases were solved, 304 cases were disposed off, whereas research on 111 cases were moved. Furthermore, the cell declined 2,040 programs. From the total programs declined, 990 didn’t come under the jurisdiction of Police, 449 had filed wrong information and also the relaxation was declined because of non pursuance. Meanwhile, 2,012 applications to become bogus and1, 251 were annulled because the arguing parties elected for conciliation.
