Interior minister and secretary are warned to submit written replies in the court within 20 days

images (2)The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday released contempt of court notice to Interior Minister Rehman Malik and secretary Secretary of state for Interior for non-compliance using the order from the court about return of Frontier Constabulary (FC) platoons to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The bench released the notices towards the interior minister and secretary and directed these to submit written replies in the court within 20 days and fixed Feb 19 for the next hearing. On November 6, 2012 a division bench headed by the chief justice had discarded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government writ petition about posting of platoons of FC outdoors Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the us government asserted that it might fulfill the necessity of the provincial government by pulling out platoons from Islamabad, Sindh, Fata and Gilgit-Baltistan. The bench had cautioned that if the assurance provided by fedral government wasn’t satisfied within two several months, the court would reopen the case.
