ISPR denies article content

RAWALPINDI: on Wednesday ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations) categorically and strongly denied the inside of an article which was published in Daily the Independent, UK in which it made statement regarding director General, ISI’s visit to Arab countries.

According to the issue released by ISPR “An article was published in the daily The Independent, UK on December 13, 2011, in which Mr. Omar Waraich has made false assertions regarding DG ISI’s visit to Arab countries”.

It has been made clear in the article that the DG met with hi profile Arab leaders and take permission about a military coup in Pakistan.

The entire story is released without any verification at any stage.

It is proved that DG ISI never met with any Arab leader between May 1 to 9, 2011 as the date was mentioned in article.

DG ISI visit to kingdom of UAE and Arab was the part of routine intelligence sharing activities and during his visits he just met with only his counterparts.

Contents mentioned in the article are strongly denied and a legal notice is issued against the newspaper to apologize and retract the entire story.
