Mohsin will lead team against England

KARACHI: on Tuesday Pakistan retained Mohsin Khan as their interim coach for the series against England next month, as PCB is looking forward for a permanent replacement of former coach Waqar Younis.

Mohsin was appointed as Waqar left in September on health basis and helped Pakistan to win against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Khan will lead the Pakistani team against England next month. PCB said

A three-member committee was held by PCB to decide a replacement of Waqar Younis, and shortlisted some of the names which includes the name of former Sri Lankan Coach Dev Whatmore who was called to Pakistan next month for interview.

Pakistan will face England in United Arab Emirates for three tests and four one day international and three Tweenty20s between January 17 and February 27.

Aaqib Javed Former Test paceman was called as bowling coach after been neglected in September while Ijaz Ahmed former middle order batsman was kept as the fielding coach.

PCB announced Naveed Cheema as the manger of the series.

On Monday Pakistan will announce the 15-man team for the three tests and first test match will start from 17 January in Dubai.
