Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has failed to deal with matters pertaining to the legal purposes and the newspapers always debate about non-eligibility of its officials. Today while heading 3-member bench in Bank of Punjab (BoP) case, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry censured NAB officials by saying that they have failed to deal with the legal issues. CJP while questioning the performance of NAB officials, ordered them to fix the matter as soon as possible by conducting the hearing on a daily basis. Chief Justice has ordered that property/land under Sheikh Haris and Sheikh Afzal to be transferred to their lawful owners by March 22 and issued directives to Secretary DHA, Executive Officer Cantonment and DCO Lahore to cooperate in this regard.
Hearing of the case has been adjourned till March 28.
