Adjourning the hearing the contempt of court case against Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the Top Court on Wednesday released summons for Malik for the following hearing. The case’s hearing was however adjourned for an unspecified date. A 2-judge bench from the apex court, composed of Justice Nasirul Mulk and Justice Ejaz Chaudhry, heard the contempt of court situation against Malik. Throughout the hearing, Malik’s lawyer, Chaudhry Azhar, asked for a legal court to permit additional time to file for an answer. Reacting towards the request, Justice Ejaz pointed out that the minister wasn’t taking curiosity about his defence and was making excuses to obstruct the proceedings. Justice Ejaz further stated more time could no more get towards the minister, adding that it might be achievable to problem an arrest warrant against him. Azhar then proceeded to share with a legal court that Malik was at that time attending a session from the federal cabinet and could be open to appear in the court if the idol judges require. The bench purchased Rehman Malik to look in the court in the next hearing and adjourned the situation for an unspecified date. The apex court had released a notice against Malik for participating in contempt of court within the Pakistan Steel Mills situation for allegedly impacting on the analysis.
