Solar study lamps distributed among students

SOLAR-LAMPS-480x238Karachi Electric Supply Company under its Social Investment Program distributed photo voltaic-billed study lamps among high carrying out students from the People Foundation School on Friday.The “Study Lamps for Students” with dual charging by photo voltaic energy and electricity were handed close to 90 top students of TCF School Qayyumabad inside a ceremony where Boss of KESC Mr. Tabish Gauhar was present together with TCF Chairman Mr. MushtaqChhapra. In the speech, Mr. Gauhar stated it was the initial step from the project started by KESC, to which the energy utility could be supplying photo voltaic lamps to any or all secondary high academic high achievers in eight grounds from the TCF. Under its Social Investment Plan (SIP), KESC was already supplying cost free electricity to any or all these purpose-built schools run by TCF by having an approximate enrollment of 52,000 students in Karachi mostly originating from low earnings families.
