It is a very tasty mutton dish cooked with lentils and masala.Dal with mutton known commonly as Dalcha is a famous Nawabi Dish

Ingredients
- 1/2 kilo mutton , cut into small pieces
- 2 cups boiled gram lentil
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup Tomato puree
- 2 tsps ginger paste
- 3 whole red chilies
- 2 tsps Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp red chili
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp all spice
- to taste salt
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 8 curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp onion seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Directions
Put mutton in a wok
Add 2 cups of water, ginger garlic paste and salt.
Bring to a boil and let it simmer until nearly done.
Heat oil in a separate wok, add 4 dry red chilies and boil the mutton.
Cook for 2 minutes then add turmeric powder, red chili, all spice and tomato puree.
Cook until oil comes out the top.
Now add yogurt in it.
Cook for 10 minutes then add boiled gram lentil.
Cover it with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender.
Take it out in a serving bowl.
In a pan heat 6 tbsp oil and add last five ingredients and put this tarka on mutton
Serve hot
