An interesting combination of coconut and rice in coconut pulao create an aromatic main course. A delicious chawal recipe loved by all, coconut pulao is enriched with a traditional south asian style of cooking
Wash rice and keep aside.
Put 2 cups of water and boil.
Heat butter and oil in a pressure cooker, add onion, cloves, cinnamon and cardamoms and fry till onion becomes translucent.
Add green peas and carrot and fry for some time.
Then add rice, coconut milk, cahsewnuts, 2 cups of hot water and salt and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Allow the steam to escape before opening.
