The unhulled (skins on) red lentil is known as the Brown Masoor.They have a mild, earthy flavor and soft texture.They hold their shape fairly well if not overcooked and can be added to salads and other dishes.
- Coriander powder,
- cumin seeds,
- garam masala,
- Ginger Garlic Paste,
- Turmeric powder,
In a pan heat oil and fry onion until golden brown
Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry,then add all the dry spices,green chili,green coriander, tomatoes and salt.Stir for 2mins
Cover it and cook on low heat till oil comes up.
Then add lentils and water,bring to a boil.Reduce heat and simmer for 10 mins.
Garnish with green chilies and green coriander.
Serve with roti.
