It is a traditional Pakistani Punjabi rice dish. Rice, gur and ghee are main ingredients of this recipe. Addition of nuts develops the taste of rice. In olden time this rice dish was served as a dessert in wedding. This is best goes with pickles.
In a pan boil brown sugar with water till melted.
Heat oil in pan and add cardamom pods, stir until sputter.
Add brown sugar water and boil.
Add salt and fennel to it.
Add soaked rice and let it cook on medium heat until water evaporated. Cover until the rice is done
