An unassuming yet satisfying little rice bowl recipe – simply and reasonable
- Basmati Rice,
- Ginger Garlic Paste,
- Turmeric powder,
Rinse rice and soak for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan
Add whole spices, brown onions, garlic paste.
Cook for a minute then add 3/4 cup of water.
Add chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, yogurt.
Cook for 5 minutes and add potatoes, carrots and green peas.
Cook for 10 minutes.
Add a cup of water.
Cover with a lid, cook until vegetables are half done.
Add rice with 2 cups of water.
Cover and cook for until water dry.
Add green chilies and tomatoes on top.
Cook until done.
