This dal is cooked with mixed vegetables and spices-cinnamon, amchur, jeera and more. A tadka of fresh ghee and chili powder adds to the taste and makes your meal that much more tasty!!!
Pressure cook lentils with 2 cups of water.
Heat ghee in a pan, add onions and cumin seeds and saute’ for at least 5 minutes.
Add cooked lentils, boiled vegetables, dried mango powder, tomato, turmeric powder and salt. Boil for a few minutes.
Just before serving, heat ghee in a small pan, add chilli powder and put over lentil mixture. Serve hot.
