Australia suffered 7 runs lost against New Zealand

A marvellous spell from Doug Bracewell and very ordinary batting display by Australia gave chance to New Zealand to seal there first ever dramatic and momentous seven- run victory in Hobart, first ever on these shores since 1985.

241 was the target given by New Zealand and it was guided well by David Warner initially, but Bracewell removed Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke and Michael Hussey on score of 159 and suddenly Australia were 5 for 173 at lunch, and after resumption of lunch remaining five got out with just the addition of 60 runs. All in all, it was a rare collapse of 8 for 74, Warner was left alone on 123 when the last man, Nathan Lyon, was bowled by Bracewell.

David Warner has been given Man of the match award for his fighting 123 but he couldn’t save the match for Australia.
