Data Darbar is located in the heart of the Lahore. In the sub continent it is known as one of the oldest Muslims shrine. In shows the remains of Sufi saints, Abdul Hassan Ali Hajvery, who is usually known as “Data Ganj Bakhsh”. This shrine is located near the Bhaati Gate in Lahore. It is initially constructed by Sultan Zakiruddin Ibrahim a Ghaznavi king. This huge compound of Data Darbar which reside the shrine and general public can visit it at all hours. Before partition his tomb had been visited by both the Muslims and Indian in the search of his blessings, but after partition most of the visitors are Muslims. But it welcomes all the visitors; this tomb is enlighten on the special event, for hundreds of people dinner is also prepared, Sufi musician plays music for hours and visitors dance on it. Muslims recite Quran in every corner of the shrine.
Data Darbar no doubt is a huge modern building and is always filled with people collecting, praying and imparting alms. Lunger is distributed everyday in Data Darbar, large number of people from all over the Pakistan are come there every year with their wishes and that come true. Whenever you visit Lahore must go there otherwise your trip to Lahore is incomplete without visiting this holy place.
