Galyat and Muzaffarabad

Galyat region is in the north east of Islamabad, Pakistan, is about 50-80km, it is on both sides of the NWFP Punjabborder. Galyat word is the plural of the Urdu word “Gali”, and its means a lane in the mid of two mountains and there are valleys on both sides of these mountains, and they are not the peak point in the range. Most of the regions in this area have a word gali as a part of their name like Gura gali, Nataya gali, Bhara gali and many more. These are the most favourite summere places like hill stations in Pakistan. As Murree is one of the most famous hill station in summer and it is the largest and main place of Galyat region.

Another most famous and favorite tourist place is “Muzaffarabad” it very easily fits the budget. It is the capital of “AZAD KASHMIR”. It is located at the meeting of the “Neelam and Jhelum rivers”, it is the most scenic and beautiful day-tripper destination. Administrative capital of Pakistan occupied Muzaffarabad and Kashmir gives the tourists the eye catching scenes and thrilling trekking trails. Muzaffarabad is a blend of new buildings and old monuments; it has a large number of very beautiful parks, monuments and farms. As you entered in the Secretariat and take the road that lead its path to the top of the town “Pir chinasi” then you will see the beautiful view of the jhelum valley and snow covered mountains. It is the best place for trekking; there are different trekking trails that pass through some of the most beautiful spots of the Muzaffarabad. It is connects to Islamabad by air and can also travel via road. There are a number of good hotels and rest houses, and they give you all the amenities of the tourists, shopping are also very good activity and you can buy walnut carvings and Kashmiri shawls. Around Muzaffarabad some of the areas are restricted to the foreigners.
