Gilgit Baltistan is one of the most impressive and stunning place of Pakistan. In this area there are three worlds’ largest mountains and that are the Hindukash, the Karakuram and the Himaliyas meets together. The whole Gilgit Baltistan is like a paradise for climbers, mountaineers, hikers, anglers and trekkers. There are different variety of Fauna and Flora and has a very rich culture of heritage. From the historical point of view this area has remained flash place of military and political competition among the British, Russian and Chinese Empires. After the end of British rule in 1947, the people of this area immediately take a decision to join Pakistan with a local uprising against the Government of Maharaja of Kashmir.
Gilgal Batistan is always at the traffic circle of raiders, conquerors and travelers; the history of this area has been greatly influenced by the different occurrences in the history. It has very rich historical background and it can only be understand by the studying its history made by the historians. Until the beginning of the 19th century the different group leaders ruled Gilgat and Batistan. They started struggling and fighting on small issues with each other and wants to gain the benefit from the weak party and by the join oppositions. The Dogra rule take over these regions in the 19 century even they found it that the control of this area is very difficult. Kashmir Government directly controlled the Baltistan as a part of district Laddakh having headquarters at Leh. The British Indian Government moved toward this area by the political improvements in Chineses Turkistan and Russia in the late 19th century.
