National Mausoleum also known as Mazar-e-Quaid, it is the tomb of the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Mazar-e-Quaid was finalized in 1960 by Yahya C. Merchants. National Mausoleum is situated in the heart of Karachi (Sindh, Pakistan).
Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25th December 1876 Karachi, He completed his early studies at Sindh Madrasah high school 1887, for higher studies he went to Bombay where he completed his matriculation from university of Bombay. For further his father decided to send him abroad to England where He can acquire business experience.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah became the first head of Pakistan newly created state. He was assigned as the First governor general of Pakistan on August 15, 1947.He was faced and tested by the serious problems of a young nation and he tackled all the problems of Pakistan with authority. He is referred as the father of the nation Pakistan. He worked hard for the establishment of Pakistan as Pakistan was going from early stages until he got disease in Karachi. He died on 11th September 1948 Karachi.
White Marble having curved shape Moorish arches was used to build National Mausoleum. Theentrance is placed on each wall. The platform is lead by successive fifteen fountains. The inner part of Mausoleum reflects green shade from four crystal chandelier which was gifted by China. Mausoleum is surrounded by a park, and there are spot lights all over the park which reflects light on white Mausoleum which creates beautiful scenery at night.
